SHOW US THY GLORY, OH LORD – Exodus 33:18
The 2027 theme artwork visually expresses a journey from knowing God, to experiencing His presence, to encountering and reflecting His glory, and ultimately becoming vessels through which the world experiences that glory.
At the centre of the artwork is a brilliant golden light, representing the glory and manifested presence of God. It serves as the focal point of the composition, drawing the attention of everyone in the scene toward God. The rays radiating from the centre represent the outward manifestation and reach of His glory.
The cross positioned on the mountain points us to Jesus Christ, reminding us that our pursuit of God’s glory is centred on Him. The worshippers with their hands raised represent a people who are hungry for God, seeking His presence, and responding to His glory.
The darker figures on the left represent those who have not yet encountered His glory, while the worshippers on the right facing the light represent the Church, called to reflect and carry that glory to the world.
We encounter His Glory → We reflect His Glory → The world experiences His Glory through us.
The four surrounding thematic areas establish the spiritual progression of the theme:
• THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM (Exodus 33:13, Philippians 3:10): We seek to know God deeply.
• THAT WE MAY POSSESS HIS PRESENCE (Exodus 33: 14-15, Acts 10:38): We desire His presence above all else.
• THAT WE MAY ENCOUNTER & REFLECT HIS GLORY (Exodus 33:18-23): We encounter His glory and allow it to transform us.
• THAT THE WORLD WILL EXPERIENCE HIS GLORY THROUGH US (Exodus 33:16): What we encounter in His presence, we carry to others through evangelism and church planting.
