ASSEMBLIES OF GOD GHANA, NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS
The national headquarters of AG Ghana can be located at Avenor adjacent Abi National Bank and Atinka Media village off the Accra-Nsawam road. The National Pensions Office, bookshop and the literature centre are also situated at the premise of the headquarters. The national headquarters is responsible for all administrative operations of AG Ghana at the national level. The working hours of the office starts from 8:30am and ends at 4:30pm.
DEPARTMENTS
AG INTERNAL AUDIT
The National Internal Audit department of the Assemblies of God, Ghana was instituted in the year 2002. As mandated by the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 of parliament (Act 658), to set up internal audit departments to ensure effective implementation of the internal audit function in corporate governance, the department was fully set up in the year 2003. In accordance with Article 22, Section 18 sub-item 4 of the Assemblies of God, Ghana constitution and by Bye-Laws, internal auditing is conducted at Regional, District and Local Church levels of the organization’s operations. The main function of the department is to evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organization meet objectives and goals. The National Internal Audit department audits the Regional Councils. Assemblies of God, Ghana as a non-profit organization also subjects itself to external audit, which is conducted annually for all offices (national, regional, district and local church).
AG GHANA ACCOUNTS AND TREASURY DEPARTMENT
The accounts and treasury department, which was formerly known as accounts office was established in 1986 when the Missionaries handed over to the indigenous church. Since then, the department has gone through tremendous changes to reflect current demands placed on the office. The office currently has 4 full-time staff. The basic function of the department is to collate financial returns from the Regional offices and prepare financial statements for the organization.
IT DEPARTMENT
I.T operations were been done until Management saw the need to establish a department to manage all I.T related issues of the organization. The Assemblies of God Ghana I.T department was officially established in 2012. Currently, there is two staff working in the I.T department.
The IT department core function is to manage all information resources and I.T infrastructures of the AG Ghana which specifically include but not limited to:
- Printing of Pastors ID Cards
- Managing information systems and I.T network Infrastructures of the organization
- Managing contents of the Assemblies of God Ghana Website.
